Ingredients
  • 2 cups dried split fava beans, soaked overnight
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp paprika, 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 2 tbsp olive oil, salt, cumin powder and olive oil for topping, fresh cilantro
Instructions
  1. 1Drain soaked beans. Add to pot with onion, garlic, spices and 6 cups water.
  2. 2Bring to boil then simmer 35-40 min until beans are very soft.
  3. 3Blend until smooth. Adjust consistency with water.
  4. 4Serve hot drizzled with olive oil, extra cumin and cilantro.
