Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups red lentils
- 1 onion, 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 2 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp garam masala
- 4-5 cups water or broth
- 2 tbsp oil or ghee, fresh cilantro, lemon
Instructions
- 1Sauté onion in oil, add ginger-garlic and spices. Cook 2 minutes. Add tomatoes.
- 2Add lentils and water. Simmer 25-30 minutes until creamy. Stir occasionally.
- 3Finish with garam masala, cilantro, and lemon. Cool and portion into containers. Freezes well. Reheat with water to adjust consistency. Serve with rice.
