Ingredients
- 1 lb kunafa/kataifi dough
- ½ cup melted butter or olive oil
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella or ricotta (halal)
- ½ cup chopped pistachios
- Syrup: 1 cup honey, ½ cup water, 1 tsp lemon juice, rose water
Instructions
- 1 Preheat oven to 375°F. Shred kunafa dough and mix with butter.
- 2 Layer half in pan, add cheese, top with remaining dough.
- 3 Bake 30-35 minutes until golden. Pour warm syrup over hot kunafa. Garnish with pistachios.
