Ingredients
  • 1 cup toor dal, cooked and mashed
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (drumstick, carrot, pumpkin, okra)
  • 1 onion, 2 tomatoes, chopped

  • 1 tsp mustard seeds, curry leaves, 2 dried red chilies, 2 tbsp oil
Instructions
  1. 1Cook vegetables with turmeric and salt until tender.
  2. 2Add cooked dal, sambar powder, tamarind, and tomatoes. Simmer 10–12 min.
  3. 3Temper: heat oil, add mustard, chilies, curry leaves. Pour over sambar.
  4. 4Serve with idli, dosa, or rice.
