Indian Style Rajma Soup (Creamy Protein Rich) — a healthy vegetarian halal recipe with 280 calories and 14g protein per serving.
Ingredients
- 1 cup red kidney beans (soaked overnight)
- 1 onion, 2 tomatoes, blended
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp garam masala, ½ tsp chili powder
- 2 tbsp ghee, ½ cup cream or coconut cream, salt
Instructions
- 1Pressure cook soaked rajma until very soft. Mash half the beans.
- 2Heat ghee, sauté blended onion-tomato with ginger-garlic and spices until thick.
- 3Add cooked rajma and 2–3 cups water. Simmer 15 min. Stir in cream.
- 4Serve hot as a hearty soup with bread or rice.
