Indian Style Rajma Chawal Bowl (Healthy) — a healthy vegetarian halal recipe with 380 calories and 15g protein per serving.
Ingredients
- 1 cup red kidney beans (soaked overnight)
- 1 onion, 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin, 2 tsp coriander, 1 tsp garam masala, chili powder
- 2 tbsp oil, cooked brown rice, onion rings, lemon
Instructions
- 1Pressure cook soaked rajma until soft.
- 2Heat oil, sauté onion, ginger-garlic, tomato puree and spices until thick.
- 3Add cooked beans and simmer 10–15 min. Mash slightly.
- 4Serve over brown rice with lemon and onions.
