Indian Style Matar Paneer (Less Oil Healthy) — a healthy vegetarian halal recipe with 260 calories and 14g protein per serving.
Ingredients
- 250g paneer, cubed
- 1½ cups green peas (fresh or frozen)
- 1 onion, 2 tomatoes, blended
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp coriander powder, ½ tsp garam masala, ½ tsp chili powder
- 2 tbsp oil, salt, fresh cilantro
Instructions
- 1Lightly sauté paneer in 1 tsp oil until golden; set aside.
- 2Heat remaining oil, add cumin seeds. Sauté blended onion-tomato with ginger-garlic paste and all spices until thick and fragrant.
- 3Add green peas and ½ cup water. Simmer 8–10 min.
- 4Gently add paneer and simmer 5 min more. Garnish with cilantro. Serve with roti or rice.
