Ingredients
  • 1 cup red lentils (masoor dal), rinsed
  • 1 onion, 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste

  • 2 tbsp oil or ghee, salt, fresh cilantro, lemon wedges
Instructions
  1. 1Heat oil in a pot. Add cumin seeds, then onion and ginger-garlic paste. Sauté until golden.

  3. 3Add lentils and 3 cups water. Bring to boil, then simmer 15–20 min until dal is soft.
