Ingredients
- 1 cup whole green moong dal, soaked 2-4 hours
- 1 onion, 1 tomato, 1 carrot optional
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin, 1/2 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp coriander, mild chili powder
- 1 tbsp oil or ghee, salt, lemon juice, cilantro
Instructions
- 1Pressure cook soaked dal with salt and turmeric until soft (15-20 min).
- 2Heat oil; sauté cumin, onion, ginger-garlic, tomato and spices.
- 3Add cooked dal and some water for soup consistency. Simmer 10 min.
- 4Blend partially if desired for creaminess. Finish with lemon and cilantro.
