Indian Style Coconut Chutney (Green Coriander) — a healthy vegetarian halal recipe with 90 calories and 2g protein per serving.
Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh grated coconut
- ½ cup fresh cilantro leaves
- 2–3 green chilies
- 1 inch ginger
- ½ cup roasted chana dal
- ½ tsp cumin seeds, salt
- Tempering: 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1 tsp urad dal, curry leaves, 1 dried red chili, 1 tbsp oil
Instructions
- 1Blend coconut, cilantro, chilies, ginger, chana dal, cumin, and salt with little water into smooth chutney.
- 2Heat oil for tempering. Add mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves, and red chili.
- 3Pour hot tempering over chutney and mix.
- 4Serve with idli, dosa, or upma.
