Indian Style Chickpea Flour Pakoda - Air Fryer — a healthy halal vegetarian recipe with 180 calories and 8g protein per serving.
Ingredients
- 1 cup chickpea flour (besan)
- 1 onion thinly sliced, 1-2 green chilies chopped, handful spinach or grated veggies optional
- 1/2 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp ajwain (carom), 1/2 tsp baking soda optional, red chili powder, salt
- Water as needed for thick batter
- 1-2 tbsp oil for brushing
Instructions
- 1Mix besan with spices, onion, chilies and enough water for thick batter.
- 2Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Drop spoonfuls or shaped pakodas on greased basket.
- 3Brush lightly with oil and air fry 12-18 min, flipping halfway until golden and crisp.
- 4Serve hot with green chutney or ketchup.
