Indian Style Beetroot Raita - Yogurt Healthy — a healthy halal vegetarian recipe with 90 calories and 5g protein per serving.
Ingredients
- 2 medium beetroots, boiled or roasted and grated
- 1.5 cups plain yogurt (whisked)
- 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder
- 1/4 tsp black salt or regular salt
- 1/2 tsp chaat masala optional, red chili powder to taste
- 1 tbsp chopped cilantro, 1 green chili finely chopped optional
Instructions
- 1Boil or roast beetroots until tender. Peel, grate and squeeze out excess moisture.
- 2In a bowl, whisk yogurt until smooth. Add grated beetroot, cumin powder, salt, chili powder and chaat masala.
- 3Mix well. Garnish with cilantro and green chili. Chill before serving.
