Ingredients
- 3 medium potatoes, cubed
- 2 (15 oz) cans chickpeas, drained
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, chopped or ½ cup tomato sauce
- 1-2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1 tsp turmeric, 2 tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp garam masala, chili powder to taste
- Salt, fresh cilantro, lemon wedges
Instructions
- 1Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, then onion and ginger-garlic paste; sauté until golden.
- 2Add tomatoes and spices; cook until oil separates.
- 3Stir in potatoes and ½ cup water; cover and cook 10 minutes. Add chickpeas and cook until potatoes are tender and mixture is dry. Finish with garam masala, cilantro, and lemon.
